On Monday night Chelsea ended Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the season. In doing so they moved seven points behind City, who themselves are now just two points clear of United. In the build up to the match Andre Villas Boas was pretty clear that defeat would mean the end of their title ambitions, but after the victory he was quite bullish about their chances.
