Railway Masters Claim the Championship!Railway Masters 4-2 Inch Legends.... Railway secured the league title with this victory on Monday night against a dogged Inch Legends team who never gave up and were unlucky on a number of occassions not to score as Railway keeper Liam Morrissey kept them at baY. Sean Daly opened the scoring and Packie Manahan doubled the advantage before the break to lead 2-0 at halftime but Inch came straight back after the restart scoring thru Gerald Dobbs and they were denied an equaliser by the width of a post as Dobbs turned his marker and struck a sweet shot that clattered the upright. Railway responded in fine fashion as they went down the other end and restored there two goal cushion thru Joint Player of the Season Frankie Keniry who's shot was to hot for the Inch keeper Alan Mc Namee and trickled over the line for 3-1. Inch came back at them and scored a fine goal thru Dave Barry and at 3-2 the title was not won but Packie Manahan secured the points to win the Championship with a neat finish. WELL DONE RAILWAY
