It was a great finish to a fantastic season in Coseley with the league going right to the wire.
Inter F.C wrapped up the title and in quite some style beating Tipton Tekkers 3-0 resulting in Tipton slipping from second to third in the table.
Northway Mafia were the team that benefited from that result to take the runners up spot after a comfortable 5-0 victory in there respective match.
In the only other game from the division Charlie Sheen FC smashed three without reply in their fixture with Dilligaf in the 7:30pm kick off.

B.A.F. Edge Ahead with Crucual Win

League leaders B.A.F. edged a point ahead of the pack after a fractious 3-1 win against Kop Idols. Skipper Sam Gregory fired two early goals before Idols managed to haul themselves back into contention. In pursuit of an equaliser, they left themselves exposed to a 3rd and decisive strike from B.A.F, for whom Ryan Allen was in commanding form.

Mallards and FC Athletic both earned their first point of the campaign. Mallards took an early lead against 2nd placed Quims Park Rangers, and looked set to hang on for a shock victory, but they eventually succumbed to a QPR equaliser, although Oli Ashman earned the Man of The Match award for Mallards.

FC Athletic and Radstock United shared the spoils in a classic 6-goal thriller. In a game for the purists, Athletic seemed to have the game won at 3-1 midway through the second half, but inspired by Blue Fuller and Luke Buckton, United showed great spirit in getting back on level terms.

Newcomers The Radi-Cause were given a customary welcome to the Thursday night league - a good old-fashioned thumping! The wily Sons of Pitches showed all their experience with a well-crafted 7-1 win inspired by Adam Pugsley, although the Radis showed plenty of signs that they will warm to their task once they find their feet in the league.

Wezzie Park and the Thistle top their respective divisions as they both recorded wins at the weekend.

With just six games left, anything can happen as both teams have a number of chasing teams on their tails.

The BIG game between Samba Feet and Beavans Elite was won 1-0 by Beavans with Eddie Shields the pick of the bunch for Beavans.

This win puts Beavans just ONE point behind Samba with it all to play for.

Heanor Lions remain in pole position in the Aldercar 5 a side league after a 3-0 victory over Mack lads this week. The win, thanks in part to a fine individual display from Heanor’s Bruninho keeps them two points ahead of second placed side Langley Milan who registered an impressive 9-4 win against The Firm.

STW Double D have now jumped up to third place whilst JMT Special Price claimed another victory, this week with a stylish performance over The Youngsters and Old Guy. Neil Cope was instrumental in JMT’s 8-2 win, a win that keeps them in sixth spot.

The other game of the evening saw Josh Wyer inspire FC Eastwood to a 3-1 victory over close rivals Red Army in what was a must win game for both sides. After a bright start it looked as though it was going to be Red Army’s day as they had the majority of the first half. However a solid second half performance saw Eastwood claim the points as they moved up to seventh place in the league.

CLIFTON LEISURE LEAGUES: 6 a side Football Round Up

Cliftonites sent shock waves through the Clifton 6 a side league this week as they became the first team to defeat a previously unbeaten Clifton Dynamo side. With Cliftonites sitting in fifth place and 10 points separating the two teams before kick off Dynamo appeared to be heading for a relatively comfortable evening. However from the off Cliftonites were up for this one and immediately went one up through an excellent Mark Stratford bullet header. Cliftonites then deservedly added a second before Dynamo pulled one back. The next goal was always going to be vital and it was Cliftonites who grabbed it as they finished the game 3-1 winners.

The defeat for Dynamo presented Brooks Villa with the chance to overtake their rivals into top spot in the table as they went up against close rivals SNC Active FC. This was always going to be a close game and it was against the run of play that Brooks Villa took a first half lead. The second half was a largely one sided affair with SNC throwing everything at their opponents as they searched for an equaliser and forced Brooks goalkeeper Nathan Wolley into a number of superb saves as he continued to thwart SNC time and time again. With Brooks pegged back there was always the chance of a counter attack and indeed when presented with a chance failed to convert and headed into a nervy finish. They rode the storm and claimed the points that see’s them take over as league leaders as we lead up to their clash with Dynamo next week.

Sporting Lesbo, playing their first game will be delighted after an impressive opening showing saw them take home both points after a convincing 5-1 victory over The Youngsters. Sam Horsley received the man of the match award after his combative performance but he was powerless to prevent The Youngsters going down to their sixth defeat of the season.

Pounders Given a Pounding by League Leaders

Shepton Galacticos maintained their 100% record with their 9th straight victory, defeating Coxley Pounders 10-0 in a match dominated by Shepton´s Callum Otter, although special mention must go to Coxley keeper Adrian Watts for a string of fine saves.

The Real Deal kept up the pressure in 2nd place with a hard-earned 4-1 defeat of Green Army, with Chad Millard winning yet another Man of The Match accolade.

Kay FC maintained 3rd position with Tom Fry again impressing in a 3-0 victory over Sparkford United.

In the night´s other match, Dean Shovelton guided Somerset Lions to a 2-0 defeat of bottom club Why Always Us.

Next week´s match-up between The Real Deal and Kay FC may go some way to deciding this season´s trophy winners.

Stratford Wednesday 5-a-side league new season

FC United Stratford were in seventh heaven as they got their season off the mark with a 7-4 win against Bayer Neverlusen. FC United's fallen angel Daz (Skelly) got awarded man of the match for one hell of a game.

Stratford Shooters got stuck into the Pu-Tang Clan beating them 8-1 and are now sitting pretty in second place after making it two out of two. Shooters pretty boy Josh Watkins got the man of the match award.

The Bulls Head went charging into the Old Boys FC and gored them with a 7-1 win. Brent Isherwood got man of the match for the least amount of bull, so lets hope it doesn't go to his head.

The Mighty Hammers sit at the head of the table after beating the Freestylers 5-0, with a win that's not to be scoffed at. Nice win but there may those who that thought the score could have been higher if they were only given the chance.

The league kicked off with Sunday League defeating DKP with Walker pulling the strings. Midlands hammered league champions the Legends 6 -1 with Price running the show for the All Stars. Badger put in a solid display to secure the points against Santos with a 3-0 win. Hipkiss played well despite being on the losing side.The final game saw Woodcross hammer Coneygree 7-2 with Mole receiving the MOTM.

SELSTON LEISURE LEAGUES: 5 a side Football Round Up

Leaders Eastley Harriers survived a scare in the Selston Sunday 5 a side league this week as they narrowly defeated fifth laced side Inbertweeners 4-3. After a first defeat of the season last week, Eastley were looking to get back to winning ways and with Lee Benson again in fine form for Harriers, took home both points here.

Mick Morgan was impressive between the sticks for his side The White Lion as he produced a number of fine stops to deny the Notts FC frontline and earn his side a victory. The 7-2 win sees the Lion remain in second spot, five points behind the league leaders and ahead of third placed Horse and Jockey on goal difference, as we enter the final five games of the season.

Waingroves complete the top four and after another victory, this time at the expense of Norfolk In Chance, are only a point behind White Lion and The Jockey. In a tight game it was Waingroves stalwart Rich Craddock who ensured his side earned the victory with his man of the match performance in a 6-4 win.

The final game of the evening saw Steve Buxton lead Orange Sierra to a 5-2 victory at close rivals Mot Mot Motley Crue. The victory sees seventh placed Sierra open up a six point lead over Motley who lie in eighth position in the table.

PREMIER DIVISION
The new outdoor season kicked off with the newly promoted KES 5 up against the reigning champs Who's Keith. The KES 5 may have lost 4-0, but they certainly made Keith earn the win and will have the other sides paying attention.
The Hot 5hots aimed at making Only Fools And Horses work, but despite giving it their best 5hot the Fools proved to be just too hot to handle and romped home 7-2 victors.
Hardly Athletic matched United PL's early pace only to find come the final whistle they were in that silver position and it was hardly the place they had planned on. The golden United PL boys took control of the game and went on to win 7-2.
KD 2010, the yo yo boys may have been feeling a bit down after coming back up only to have the TNT experts blow them away with a 6-1 win.

DIVISION ONE
SHFB United who came so close to promotion last season got themselves right back up there again with a 5-0 win in the points match.
99 Problems But The Pitch Ain't One Of Them, only had one problem from Alcester Celtic, so gave the Celts three of them to deal with and came out 3-1 winners.
The Multiple Score Gasums who did plenty of dribbling but very little shooting came up against the new Tidd's A Team who are obviously used to playing with each other and soon knocked off a swift 7-1 win.
Real Tiddington may have been showing some cracks after their drop from the top and Inter Minan soon got inter them and smashed seven past them for a 7-3 win.

It was a good night overall in the Swadlincote 6 a side league. The night started with leave ma arsealona thrashing mMassive 8-0 with Callum Ridell playing well. Then YWF defeated fat fighters 1-0 despite the efforts of Cullum for the fighters. The noggins won a close encounter with the noodle squad 2-1 with Tom Insley having a good game. Kaidens army then beat the Wolfpack 1-0 thanks to Brad Nixon having a superb game. Muffin stuffers then put in a resilient performance against Unreal to end up with a 1-1 draw thanks to a fine display by Matt Eastern in goal. The last game saw Barmy Army hammer Scoregasm 5-0 with Jack Miller receiving the motm.

Urine Trouble On Verge of Title Triumph

With just 2 games to go in the Radstock Monday 6-a-side League, Urine Trouble have all but sealed the title and reclaimed the crown that they lost last season to Farmborough Bounce. Urine Trouble defeated Arsenholes 5-0, with Joe Rogers in fine form, to maintain their 4 point lead at the top of the table. With a goal difference which is 29 superior to their nearest challengers, the title is theirs in all but name.

The Young Ones maintained their charge for 2nd spot after Mark Andrade inspired them to a hard-fought 2-1 defeat of SOPs Reunited.

Farmborough Bounce are still in contention for the runners-up spot, although they fell 6-4 to Norad FC in an entertaining encounter in which Norad´s Steve Baker was the star performer.

In the night´s other match, Ryan Gullock made a string of fine saves as Norfolk N Chance overcame Leave-my-arcelona by the only goal to maintain 4th spot.

Braintree - Football Match Reports: 6-a-side Sunday night

Sunday 13th May's match for the Premier Division was a clash between Fox & Hounds and Renegades.
Renegades started the game the brighter side, testing the Fox’s keeper on a few occasions. Renegades did take the lead a few minutes later when an effort from distance by Bojan deceived the Fox Goalkeeper and went through his legs.
As the first half was coming to the end, Renegades doubled their advantage with a well a taken goal from Bojan, his second of the game, who also got the man of the match award.
The second half was very entertaining with end to end stuff, much closer game. Fox were attacking and trying to get back into the game, with Renegades looking very dangerous on the break. Renegades made it 3 nil with a very well taken goal from Dan Bastor, curling in a lovely left footed strike.
With only 5 minutes remaining, Fox & Hounds tried to mount a comeback, with Dan Cann scoring a screamer from 15 yards that flew into the top corner. The Fox then pushed on and with only a minute remaining Steve Gatward finished off a good team move with a well taken goal. However, the final whistle soon went and Renegades finished 3-2 winners.

It was another fantastic night of football at the Green Bank leisure centre. The night kicked off with Ace playing Polar Bears with both teams under strength. The fitness of the Bears helped them to a 9-6 victory thanks to the tireless efforts of Sam Wright.
Next up were Spankers and Beady Eye with Callum Rydell in top form for the Spankers. Beady could do little to stop the onslaught with Spankers winning 12 -2. Sporting Lesbians put in a good shift but could not claim the victory. The passing ability of Tekkers helped contribute to an 8-3 win with Ross Williams having an exception game.
Fc Reunited and Old Boys played an entertaining game of football which saw plenty of goals. Fc went into half time 3 -1. It was a game of two halfs with Old Boys coming out as 7 -3 winners thanks to Dan Clamp. The school bragging rights were next with Barca against Heebie. Barca were 7 -1 winners thanks to Reece Gilliver. The next game was Brocode against Noggings. Brocode took an early lead with a well taken goal. Noggings came back came back with the game finishing 7 -3 Craig Massey who had an excellent game. The final game saw Burhgam receive the MOTM in the points match.

Another excellent evening of football in Burton with both divisions full of action.
In the Premier Division Boys2men stay top of the table after a comfortable 5-0 victory in their respective game. LTFC slipped to third in the table after a 2-2 draw with fourth placed Bayern Neverlusen with Nick George of Bayern picking up the man of the match award.
In Division One Jamie Hanson helped FC Keego open up a point lead at the top of the table with a hard fought 2-1 win over Lat-Pro FC.
Elsewhere there were good wins for The Glow, Smooth Criminals and Kay FC in the respective matches.

The Smokey's bandwagon roll's on and another 5-1 win against Vikings FC pushed them another steo towards their first league title at the new venue in Widnes.

Dr Congo were the days other high scorer's with a 7-0 win against Crowood FC who are still finding their feet in the league.

Blue Army and Brookvale finished 1-1 in a hard fought game with Eddie Sweeney the pick of the bunch for Brookvale FC.

TWO CHASE TOP SPOT!!

Two clubs,Pale heights and Sheffield Thursday, are chasing top spot in the Northwich Sunday League after seven games.

Pale heights have yet to drop a point this season, whilst Sheffield Thursday are just ONE point behind on thirteen points.

Both teams won comfortably on Sunday, Sheffield Thursday beating College All Stars 7-1 with Pete Wilson the Games MOM.

Pale heights had the benefit of a 5-0 'walkover' and so remain at the top.

The evening got under way with a close encounter in the Premiership as United In One beat Tudor Motors by 3-2, the match could have gone either way as both teams went all out to take points and keep their hopes alive in lifting the winners trophies in a few weeks time.

Adamsdown Allstars put the pressure on the Falcons as they beat a spirited Ragtag Rovers, some great save from the Ragtags keeper Daz kept the Allstars at bay and the goals came in the second half.

The Falcons then followed this up with an impressive display beating CC Allstars and once again inspired by Luke Bowen. Finally, well done to the Nutty Boyz who put points in the board after beating Panthers FC 6-2 and lifted themselves off the bottom.

In Division 1, front runners YOLO FC lost for the second week in a row as the Galacticos came out 2-1 winners thanks to good display from the keeper and keeps them in the mix for promotion. A good win for Bryns Boys in a hard fought encounter against the Fairwater Allstars, team captain Dean O’Brien was the man of the match and must be pleased to get the 3-1 win and moving into second.

New team Adamsdown Youngstars produced a polished performance against Dans Boys and will have a say near the top of this Division in the new season for sure, Finally, another new team impressed in their debut as Real Tekkers handed out a 6-4 defeat to Passelona and will proof stiff competition in the Division.

First of all, I would like to say a big congratulations to all the teams in both leagues for you contribution to the leagues so far. Starting with the Championship, the top three teams, The Franatics, Southcampton and Tekkers Slovakia are so close at the top of the table and all it would take is one bad result and we could see a different outcome at the end of the season! With first place on 9 points, second on 8 and third on 7 and a goal difference of only to goals between the top three teams this really is the league to keep your eyes on to see who will get promoted. The Premiership is also very close, both Banners and Lokomotiv are tied on 8 points but with Banners having a 20 nil win under their belts they have a very impressive goal difference of 30 goals, Lokomotiv increased their goal difference with an 8 nil win tonight, congratulations guys! Two more mentions for the Championship, congratulations to Southcampton for repeatedly being the Team of the Week on our league page. The most impressive team at the moment is The Franatics in the Championship as they are the only team across both leagues to have an unbeaten record so far... Keep up the good work! Top 3 Maintain 100% Start

There is an early 3-way battle developing at the top of the Radstock Thursday 6-a-side League. Last season´s runners-up B.A.F. overcame a spirited effort from Sons of Pitches 4-3, although Darren Scammell deserves special mention for SOPs.

New team Radstock United continued their promising start with a 3-2 defeat of Mallards, for whom Paul Eastwood was in fine form.

After last season´s disappointment, Kop Idols look to have turned a corner after James Jones inspired them to a hard-fought victory over FC Athletic.

Unfortunately, Barearselona failed to give the league any notice of their absence for the 2nd week running and therefore forfeited their match 5-0 to Quims Park Rangers, who now top the table on goal difference.

As a result, Barearselona will take no further part in our Thursday night league, and teams on the waiting list have already been contacted to replace them. We look forward to welcoming a new team to the league next week.

CLIFTON LEISURE LEAGUES: 6 a side Football Round Up

Brooks Villa remain hot on the heels of leaders Clifton Dynamo after they produced a solid display in the Clifton 6 a side league this week to defeat bottom side The Youngsters 2-0. The win keeps Brooks in touching distance and just a point off the leaders after a Mikey Bowles inspired performance saw them get the better of The Youngsters, who despite a good performance here, are still looking for their first win of the season.

SNC Active also remain in the hunt after another victory sees them remain in third spot, a point off Brooks in second and just two points off leaders Dynamo. SNC’s impressive win this week came at the expense of Cliftonites who were unable to make their early pressure count. Buoyed by their first victory last week, Cliftonites bolted from the blocks and put the SNC goal under constant pressure with wave after wave of attack. Cliftonites took a deserved first half lead but despite having numerous chances to add to their tally a second goal went begging. As the second half wore on Cliftonites were still unable to add to their first half strike. Late in the game, after some good approach play, Rich McDermott rose at the far post to head in an equaliser for SNC to stun their opponents. Notts FC sent shock waves through the rest of the division in the Selston Sunday 5 a side league this week as they became the first team to beat a previously unbeaten Eastley Harriers side. An early goal saw Notts go ahead only to be pegged back by two Eastley goals as Harriers looked to be taking home both points and go further ahead in the table however Notts, with Liam Hadfield a constant threat, continued to attack and added two late goals to seal a dramatic 3-2 win for them as they now look to close in on the places above them.

It’s getting tight below the leaders now with only three points separating five places. The White Lion overtake Horse and Jockey to move into second place after their victory against Mot Mot Motley Crue this week. The Lion looked to be heading for a comfortable evening as Adam Pynegar powered his way through the Motley back line as his side went ahead in the match. Motley though settled into the second half and pulled the game back to 6-5 as the game entered the final stages. Trailing by the one goal Motley went for an equaliser but a last minute penalty ensured White Lion took home both points with a 7-5 victory to go ahead of the Horse and Jockey on goal difference. Horse and Jockey came unstuck in their game with Waingroves as Jordan Webster was again impressive for Waingroves as they secured a 7-5 win and move within a point of the Jockey who now occupy third spot.

Stephen Yates top scored for Inbetweeners as they produced a solid display to overcome Norfolk In Chance 4-0 in the other game this week. The win keeps the Inbertweeners in fifth spot whilst Nofolk remain in tenth spot, two points adrift of Motley in ninth eighth. Chris Knights all action display earned him the man of the match award for the Inbertweeners.

Champions ABCDE FC beat Bayern conviningly 4-0 with Stuart Algie the games top performer and rightly picking up the MOM award.

There was no change at the top of both divisions on Wednesday night as both Spider Pigs and Cheshire Rent Boys recorded victories.

Boughton Bombers missed the opportunity to close the gap at the top after they were held to a 0-0 draw by lowly Bob Nudd FC, who played most of the game on the back foot as Bombers tried to find a way through the massed defence.

Rent Boys won a five goal thriller as they just edged out a determined Tarporley side 3-2.

A special mention to PSV who finally got a much deserved win against Boughton with MOM Chris Gray having an outstanding game.

The Top 4 teams in the Wells 6-a-side League continued their good form with wins against lower-placed opponents.

Unbeaten leaders Shepton Galacticos extended their winning streak to 8 games with a 10-2 defeat of Somerset Lions, with Callum Otter in impressive form.

The Real Deal cruised to a 5-1 win against Coxley Pounders, with Alex Main winning the Man of The Match accolade.

Kay FC overcame Why Always Us 9-2, with Tom Fry scoring a spectacular volley, although Charles Refson impressed for WAU and Hector Simms-Preston grabbed both of their goals.

The night´s other match proved to be a close affair with Green Army edging out Sparkford United 2-1, although Jamie Elsworth was in fine form for Sparkford.

A new season, a new name for Frank who went out for a swift one and came back playing as the Bulls Head. Man of the match Sam Grey and The Mighty Hammers hit the Bulls for a sobering 11-1 win. Ginge may have a sore head from this one, but it's unlikely to be a lasting hangover.

The regular faces of Stratford Shooters, played a regular face of Bayer Neverlusen who have now got themselves some new hands. One of those new hands Matt Akerman struck with the man of the match award, but this time it wasn't to be enough. Like clockwork and with no real alarm bells ringing, it was the Shooters who rang out an appealing 6-3 win.

The ever reliable Freestylers won 5-0 against the Pu-Tang Clan who have had some close shaves in their time, but it maybe the Freestylers who are the last ones to bang them up.

The new team of the Old Boys FC were far more united than their opponents FC United Stratford. This meant the Old Boys easily took the 5-0 win and put some welcoming points on the table for their new campaign.

Cobras Impress on 6-a-side Debut

The Cobras impressed on their debut in the Shepton Mallet 6-a-side League, with a thumping 4-0 win against last season´s runners-up Substandard Liege. After a cagey opening, Cobras took a 1-0 lead into the break and then dominated the 2nd half with Brett Cotterill outstanding throughout a game that was best remembered for Damon Cotterill´s outstanding solo goal. Liege´s skipper, James Robertson saw his 2nd half penalty saved by the Cobras keeper.

Last season´s Champions, Lusitanos, overcame BTFC 3-0, with Tom Patterson netting twice, although it was Ryan Morris who captured the eye with a dominant midfield performance.

Despite missing Alfie Warren, last term´s Player of The Season, Barking Waffles overcame a much-improved Kamikaze Crunchers 4-2, with Ted Moon starring and netting twice, although Crunchers had several opportunities to get themselves back in the match.

NB: The match between the two non-attending sides (Creatures & Playa Den Bossa) has been recorded as a 0-0 draw, but when the 2 sides meet again in the league, the score of their 2nd match will count double and will be re-instated into this first round of fixtures.

It was a great end to the season with some close games taking place. Price helped Badger Boys to a 3-1 over Sunday League . League Champions the Legends ended the season in style as they won 8-4 against Lye town. Dixon received the MOTM. A close game saw All stars nick a 3-2 win against Coneygree with Simon R receiving the MOTM. Second Place Woodcross won 4-2 against Santos with Green having a great match.

There was plenty of goals in the Swadlincote 6 a side league as teams got to grips with the 5 a side format. Arce alona won 22-4 against Scorgasm in what was an excellent match to watch. Unreal Madrid put in a good display to win the match 12-4 against a resilient fat fighter. The game of the evening saw Noggins nick a 13-12 win against Wolfpack. Another close game saw Newhall Massive as 7-6 winners against Kaidens Army. The highest score of the night saw Barmy Army score a colossal 25 goals to Muffin Stuffer 4.

WA7 increased their lead at the top of the table on Tuesday night at the Stobart stadium as they thrashed Bryan Munich 8-2 with MOM Les McKeown had a fantastic game.

Carlisle took full advantage of Ditton Dragons 0-0 draw with the Peoples Club by beating Rio Barca 7-3 to move up into second place.

Braintree - Football Match Reports: 6-a-side Sunday night

Sunday 6th May's match for the first Division was a clash between Nottinher Forest and Broomfield Lads.

Broomfield started the game the brighter side, testing Forest’s keeper on a few occasions they really should have taken the lead. Forest took their time to get into the game, but as the game grew, they battled well and were unlucky to not have scored.

As the first half was drawing in, looking like it was going to be goalless; Man of the Match Dan McGowan had other ideas. He unleashed a fierce shot which struck the inside of the post and flew in. This was a fantastic strike, by a young talented player with a prosperous future ahead of him. Due to Dan’s consistent form in the early stages of this season, he has even been approached to play for a semi-pro team.

The second half was very entertaining with end to end stuff, shot after shot; some great football being played by both teams. All credit to both keepers who kept the score down with only 1 goal. Broomfield came out on top with a 1-0 win, but the game could have gone either way. This was a great match for a spectator to watch.

The new season got underway on Tuesday night with a full turnout of teams. There were two entertaining draws as the first two fixtures featured just two goals!!

New boys BWB United eventually beat Renford 2-0 after stiff resistance from Renford for most of the game.

The Renford goalkeeper Chris Platt, was the games MOM with a string of fine saves to keep the score at just 2-0.

It was another great night of football at the green bank leisure centre 6 a side league. The night kicked off with Noggings vs Ace. Noggings came flying out of the blocks with 2 quick goals. Ace tried to respond and managed to pull one back though Noggings came out as eventual 3-1 winners thanks to Lewis Bakewell. Next up were Old boys and Red Hot Spankers with both teams under strength though Spankers won 10 -3. The score would have been higher if it wasn’t for the valiant efforts of Ady Limpany. It was a very close game between Heebie and FC Reunited with both teams taking the lead. Reunited finally came out as 4-3 winners with some exceptional passing taking place
Labour club and Beady eye stepped up next . Beady were without their 1st choice keeper and lost the match 8-2. Nathan Smith pulling the strings for Labour with a fine display.
New side Sporting Lesbian were next up against a rampant Polars Bears. Though sporting gave a good account of themselves a strong Bears strength came through as 13-6 winners thanks to Ricky Birch. The final game of the evening saw Brocode and Barca in which was a very close game with Barca just nicking the 5-4 win thanks to a fine display from Reece Giliver.

This week we start off in Division 1 as the front runners Y O L O FC suffered their first defeat of the season against Passelona who won this pulsating match 6-4, Liam Parker was the man of the match helping his side bounce back from last weeks defeat. Y O L O were not helped by having a man sent off at the start of the second half. Can Y O L O keep their nerve in the final matches of the season or will the chasing pack catch them up, they need one more win to confirm promotion to the Premiership.

The chase for promotion is on as 4 teams are on the same number of points after the Galacticos beat Bryns Boys 4-2 with team captain Tom Ensor leading from the front and earning the man of the match.

Fairwater Allstars are right in the mix after a convincing win against Dans Boys winning the match 5-1 and will go into next weeks game against Bryns Boys looking to win 2 on the bounce.

In the Premiership, the evening started off with a goalless draw between Tudor Motors and Adamsdown Allstars as they cancelled each other out without much goalmouth action, the result gave an incentive to the other teams to close the gap and that is exactly what United In One did after they beat The Nutty Boyz 4-1 and will go into next weeks match of the evening against Tudor Motors in confident mood.

The improved outfit of CC Allstars continued to impress as they won against Panthers FC 3-2 with some important saves from the keeper and a man of the match display by Alex Fernandes proving to be the catalyst for the win.

Finally, the Falcons perched themselves back to the top after beating Ragtag Rovers and looked determined to finish the season strongly, they will need to be weary of CC Allstars in the next match as we reach the final few games of the season.

Hardly Athletic and TNT played out a close run game and it wasn't until the home straight that saw TNT make an on time delivery to take the 3-2 win.
United PL were more than PLeased to take the points with a 5-0 win in the points match. The second or third place outcome of PL's season still lay in the balance and it was now out of their hands. So PL had to wait until the result of the next game and it was a game they couldn't even bare to stay and watch.
Division champs Who's Keith now had the last say in the seasons final standings in a game against Only Fools and Horses. Keith made the Fools fall at the final hurdle with a 7-2 win, but the Fools were missing no bodies fool man of the season Dan Janes.
In the relegation battle the Hot 5hots rounded off a jagged season with a 5-0 win against Real Tiddington and now the Tiddlers will no longer be swimming in the Prem pool.
Division One
Congrats to Kes 5 who came alive to beat Alcester Celtic 4-1. The win puts the Kes 5 back in the top set again for the next term.
I know you are only 18 once but the 99 Problems certainly know how how to add to them! They took the 5-0 win in the points match, but finished the season one win and a couple off goals from a trophy.
After starting on the back foot Inter Minan continue to put their best foot forward and gave the Multiple Score Gasums a 9-4 kicking.
After the dizzy heights of being top of the table SHFB United continued a five match wobble to loose 4-1 to KD 2010. The new division champs KD left their surge right to the last game to take it on goal difference, with many thanks to the new signings.

The first night of the new Radstock Thursday league kicked off in fine style with BAF setting the early pace with a James Keeling-inspired 6-1 defeat of FC Athletic.

Sons of Pitches got off to a winning start with Jamie Veale starring in their 4-0 defeat of Mallards, while Quims Park Rangers overcame Kop Idols in a bruising encounter 3-0, with Ricky Tomlinson Man of The Match.

Radstock United got off to a winning start, albeit by default after the non-attendance of their opponents Barearselona.

The torrential downpour on Sunday 29th April put paid to any chance of football as the Brookvale pitches resembled a swimming pool!!

Worse was to follow as the works scheduled to end on Friday 4th May remain unfinished and as a result there are NO games on Sunday 6th May either.

Hopefully, the next fixtures on Sunday 13th May will go ahead as planned.

JMT Special Price carried on from their impressive opening showing last week with another fine display in the Aldercar Monday 5 a side league, this time at the expense of Mack Lads. The 4-0 victory came courtesy of a solid Phil Leatherland display at the heart of the JMT side and the win now moves JMT above the Mack Lads and into sixth place in the table.

Leaders Kimberley FC played host to fellow title hopefuls The Firm this week as The Firm looked to bounce back after last week’s disappointment and get back to winning ways. Curtis Clarke was again showing his class, leading the Kimberley front line superbly, but he could do little to stop The Firm claiming both points with a narrow 5-4 win.

Langley Milan went goal crazy as they defeated bottom side Red Army 11-1 with Richard O’Brien receiving the man of match award after an impressive outing here whilst Chris Heard’s trickery meanwhile saw Heanor Lions overtake Kimberley and move into top spot after they defeated FC Eastwood. The 4-2 victory see’s Heanor go a point ahead of their rivals in the table.

There was another close game as STW Double D recorded their forth straight victory despite a nervy finish in their game against The Youngsters and Old Guy this week. STW seemed to be heading for a comfortable evening as David Bond imitated an excellent first half showing however The Youngsters rallied in the second and nearly snatched a late point from this game however STW held on to claim a 4-3 win and continue their good form.

The night started with the Bayer boys having the Frankies running for their hankies. Bayer Neverlusen signed off the season by beating Lets Be Frank 10-4 for shore good buddy, so come on.

Freestylers and FC United Stratford put on some style with an exciting 5-5 draw. It saw FC United coming from behind and looking for the win, only to find Nick's Freestylers putting a Holt to it and the honors having to be shared.

The already crowned champs Stratford Shooters who always have their sights set high rounded of their season by beating a side that Were Never Gunner Win It 5-0. Shooters next aim is to out gun those that will be gunning for them next season.

The late starters The Mighty Hammers rounded off their mighty fine achievement of finishing the season in second by licking the Pu-Tang Clan 5-0. After enjoying the climax at the end of this season the Hammers intend to be knocking,if not hammering on the door of that number one slot next season.

Galacticos Extend League Lead as Green Army Sneak into Champions League

Shepton Galacticos extended their lead at the top of the Wells 6-a-side League to 3 points as they recorded their 7th straight win by defeating their closest rivals The Real Deal 6-1, with Lewis Matthews in outstanding form.

Kay FC, for whom Jamie Seviour again impressed, were restricted to a 1-1 draw by Somerset Lions, but the result wasn´t enough for Lions to retain a Champions League spot, as Green Army edged into 4th place on goal difference thanks to a 2-0 defeat of Why Always Us, with Ben Greehalgh impressing.

In the night´s other fixture, Sam Andrews drove Coxley Pounders on to their first league win, with a hard-fought 2-1 defeat of Sparkford United, a result which finally lifted Pounders off the foot of the table.

Cliftonites are up and running after they registered their first win of the season in the Clifton Nottingham 6 a side league this week in what was a must win game for both them and fellow strugglers The Youngsters. Cliftonites were clearly going for the victory and started brightly, taking a two goal lead after some impressive attacks. However The Youngsters responded well and grabbed a deserved goal after which they began to put more pressure on their opponents as they searched for an equaliser. As The Youngsters pushed forward gaps inevitably appeared in their back line, presenting Cliftonites with the opportunity to increase their lead but a number of chances went begging. Sam Leighton’s all action display earned him the man of the match award for The Youngsters but he was unable to help his side find an equaliser as the match finished 2-1. The win see’s Cliftonites overtake The Youngsters who now occupy bottom spot as we reach the half way point of the season.

SNC Active meanwhile became the first side to take a point from current league leaders Clifton Dynamo as they went head to head this week. A fierce strike in the first few minutes saw SNC take the lead as they looked to close in on top spot themselves. A shocked Dynamo then immediately went off in search of an equaliser, and after a couple of near misses managed to find one. In the second half as Dynamo searched for a winner, SNC were always a threat on the break and were unfortunate not to grab a winner themselves as they struck the woodwork twice whilst also being denied by a fantastic Jan Burton save in the closing stages as the game finished 1-1. Bryn Parkes earned himself the man of the match award after another impressive showing in this game.

There was a super Sunday clash at the top of the Selston Sunday 5 a side league this week as leaders Eastley Harriers locked horns with fellow title hopefuls The White Lion. It was a fiery encounter with both sides clearly gunning for victory, and with Ian Simpson again impressing for The White Lion, they took an early lead. However with both teams testing the opposition goalkeepers on numerous occasions there was always going to be more goals to follow and in the end it was Eastley who claimed both points as the game finished 5-3 in their favour.

A last minute penalty miss denied Norfolk In Chance FC a share of the spoils in their game with Notts FC as Shane Scrimshaw helped Notts claim a narrow 7-6 victory in what was an entertaining game whilst Waingroves went goal crazy in their match against DG United as a 13-2 victory helped them remain in forth spot whilst also closing the gap on third place to a single point.

James Funnel meanwhile continues to impress with his goal scoring prowess as his goals sealed an impressive 9-6 win against second placed side Horse and Jockey. The defeat puts a major dent in the Jockey’s title charge as leaders Eastley pulled five points clear at the top of the table after his week’s results.

LOFT Edge into Champions League as Liege Secure 2nd Spot

On a night of shocks in the final round of fixtures in the Shepton Mallet 5-a-side season, Substandard Liege secured the Runners-Up spot after their comprehensive 4-1 defeat of Playa Den Bossa, with Simon Gill again impressing between the sticks.

Earlier, Barking Waffles were surprisingly beaten 3-0 by a Lee Ward-inspired LOFT FC, meaning that they lost out on receiving the Runners-Up trophies but are still assured of a Champions League place. Meanwhile, the result meant that LOFT edged into 4th spot at the expense of Creatures, who were unable to attend their fixture and therefore forfeited the match 5-0 to Kamikaze Crunchers.

Our Champions, Lusitanos, cruised to a 7-1 win against BTFC, with Luis Ramos again in great form.

A superb night of football in Burton with plenty of goals being scored in both divisions.
In the Premier Division Boys2men stay top on goal difference after smashing five past their opponents without reply. Second placed LT-FC kept the pressure on the leaders with a comfortable 8-0 victory over YWF Warriors in the 7pm kick off.
In Division One Kay FC got their season back on track with an easy 4-0 win over third placed Smooth Criminals. In other games there were wins for Lat-Pro FC, Ford Iniesta and FC Keego.

It was a great night of football once again at the green bank 6 aside league. The evening kicked off with Ace and Barca. It was a good night of football in the Swadlincote Monday league. The first game saw kaiden’s Army beat Scoregasm 2-1 with Cam Jenkins playing well. Fat fighters won 2-1against Muffin with Matt Young making the difference. Wolfpack then hammered YWF 3-0 despite the best efforts of Liam Bexon for YWF. In the top of the table clash Barmy Army won against leave ma arselona 2-1 with Connor Cannon pulling the strings. Newhall massive destroyed Noggins 3-0 with Joe Salisbury playing well. The last game saw Unreal Madrid win a tight contest against noodle squad 1-0 with Benbow making the difference.

On a night of drama in the Radstock Monday 6-a-side League, Norfolk N Chance clinched the final Champions League place with an impressive 3-1 defeat of their closest rivals SOPs Reunited, with Ben Bodley earning the Man of The Match award.

The Young Ones climbed to 2nd in the table after a 5-0 points match victory over Norad FC, with Seb Nix impressing in their friendly fixture.

Last season´s Champions Farmborough Bounce, fell to 3rd place after they were surprisingly beaten by Arsenholes, with hat-trick hero Kyle Smalley inspiring them to an impressive 5-3 win.

In the night´s other match, leaders Urine Trouble maintained their impressive form, with Matt Scott leading them to an entertaining 7-4 defeat of Leave-my-arcelona.

Another Fantastic evening at the Sutton Coldfield Sunday league with all teams still looking in good contention for the league. The first match underway saw Andrew Elliman have his game of the season as Leavemyarsealona managed to clinch a 2-1 win over Motters F.C. The second match of the evening was between 6 Guys 1 Cup and Birmingham United and it was Birmingham United who finally got there first win of the season and put themselves in a good position as the league continues and Glenn Smith getting Man of the Match. Aaron O'neil of Roys Boys took top spot in the player of the season leaderboard this week as his team dished out a 4-1 win over Bayernneverloosing. Norfolk N Chance never looked back from the kick off in the last match of the night against The Reem Team, Tim Nicholls played his heart out in the 9-0 victory to Norfolk N Chance.

A fight for second place was played this evening. Hopless were up against the Omegasand with one point between them there was alot to play for. After a tough end to end game The Omegas found the gap and fire one home to win 1-0. Well done to Mark Lamonby man of the match for Omegas.

Leominster Elite and BOCA Seniors both get a 5-0 win tonight as teams failed to turn up! Well done to Phil Clewer for BOCA and Matt Strangwood for Elite on their man of the match nominations.

It was a closely contested match between Real Tiddington and TNT, but it took TNT's man of the match Alex Webb to stand tall and spin some magic. Webby scored the two decisive goals that gave TNT the 2-1 victory.
It was Only Fools and Horses man of the match Del Boy Dan Janes who led the Trotters to an all important 2-0 win over the Hot 5hots.
Hardly Athletic's 5-0 win in the points match see them vault to one point above the drop zone.
In the mega match of the night Who's Keith may just have shown who Keith is by beating United PL 4-0. The result has Who's Keith picking up another trophy and it is in their hands to see who joins them in the spoils in next weeks game.
DIVISION ONE
Man of the match Leo Hodges helped Kes 5 to a roaring success by beating the Multiple Score Gasums 6-2, in a game where the Gasums failed to rise to the occasion again.
99 Problems proved to be too big a problem for Alcester Celtic as they beat them 3-1 and put the Celts promotion party on hold as they now drop from second to fourth in the table with only one game to go.
KD 2010 are doing it again as they slip into second slot after taking a 5-0 in the points match.
The divisions late starters Inter Minan are now growing into a force to be reckoned as they beat the division leaders SHFB United 4-2. SHFB have had a run of games where they realy Should Have Fared Better and if they are to get promoted they need to stand United again.

Badger Boys VS Zambras All Stars

The new boys of the league faced each other. It was a equal match with Zambras all stars leading 2-1 with just seconds on the clock the keeper makes a mistake which allows Badger boys to score and get that first all important point. Man of the match had to go to Seth with passing and movement.

Wolves VS Coseley United

The new boys facing last season league winners so they had to work to get anything out of the game. Coseley United faced the full force of wolves attack with Wolves giving their self a nice lead they just built on that lead winning the match 11-1.Man of the match had to go to Matt Dudley with some lovely movement and also scoring 5 of wolves 11 goals.

Mushy Pea FC VS Craig’s Angles

The game was scrappy with both teams wanting that all important first win. Both teams played hard and went in strong. but it’s who puts the ball in the back of the net. Craig’s Angles just had the finishing touch in front of goal and won the match 2-0 with Walden getting match of the match.

Despite being bottom of the Halton Sevens Sunday league, Brookvale produced the performance of the season in their 1-1 draw with Smokeys Bandits, the first time Smokeys have dropped any points this season!

Dave Huetson picked up the games MOM award for Brookvale after a great all round display.

Also making their debut with a great 5-0 win, was Blue Army who trounced Crowood FC, Jamie Mullen the star man for Blue Army.

Adamsdown All-stars went top of the Premiership with a scintillating display against The Nutty Boyz, they were the nights top scorers with 11 goals and go top on goal difference of FC Falcons who were themselves involved in the Divisions match of the evening. The Panthers came close to getting a point against the Falcons in a closely fought encounter and were finally defeated 4-3 with star man once again Luke Bowen grabbing the headlines and producing another man of the match performance.

Earlier in the evening, Tudor Motors won their encounter with Ragtag Rovers and welcomed back Daniel Nash who duly obliged and bagged a number of the goals in a 10-0 win. Finally, in this Division, the recent good form of the CC Allstars deserted them as they were soundly beaten by an impressive display from United in One who are now just 2 points of the top, so all to play for in this Division.

In Division 1, the race for promotion is really on as any of the 6 teams are still in touching distance of the Premiership, in the match of the evening, both Passelona and Galacticos served up a real treat in a close encounter that could have seen either team win. Team captain for Passelona will not be too pleased with his team conceding 2 late goals that saw the Galacticos win 4-3 and their team captain Tom Ensor put in a man of the match display.

In the final match of the evening, Dans Boys came out winners 3-1 against Bryns Boys and keeps them in with a chance of promotion, other results however kept Bryns Boys in the important second place as they will look to bounce back in the next round of matches.

On a night of drama at the Radstock Thursday 6-a-side league, the season's final round of fixtures saw Sons of Pitches and Quims Park Rangers clinch the final two Champions League places. Sons of Pitches held off a brave effort from FC Athletic to win 3-2 although Athletic's skipper Ashley Reeve clinched the Player of The Season award with another fine individual display. Quims Park Rangers managed to secure the final Champions League spot after a brave 3-3 draw with unbeaten Champions Smack My Pitch Up, although Luke Stanley was outstanding for SMPU. These two results meant that Kop Idols' 6-0 defeat of Mallards was in vain, and last season's runners-up ended the season in a disappointing 5th place, although they can take heart from the performance of Ross Presley. In the night's other match, BAF overcame a spirited effort from Barearselona to win 5-3, with Freddie Lines impressive throughout. The new season begins next Thursday, and fixtures will be online and sent to Team Captains on Monday.

Braintree - Football Match Reports: 6-a-side Sunday night

Sunday 22nd April's match for the Premier Division was a top of the table clash between Free Lions and Inter Young Boys.

Free Lions got off to a great start, with Ellis putting them in the lead after only three minutes. George, of Inter Young Boys, equalised shortly afterwards from the penalty spot after a Free Lions defender entered the penalty area.

Ellis then put Free Lions back in front two minutes into the second half. It was then Inter Young Boys’ turn to pile on the pressure, having shot after shot. However they just couldn’t find that equalising goal, despite hitting the crossbar and goal post.

Aaron then scored a third for Free Lions against the run of play to put the game beyond reach of Inter Young Boys, who were unlucky to take nothing from the game.

Both teams ended up with only five men, putting an unfortunate dampener on a thrilling match.

With one game to go the Freestylers have given themselves an outside chance of a trophy by beating the early season front runners Bayer Neverlusen 6-2.

The Mighty Hammers have just about nailed second place after a close run 5-4 win over FC United Stratford. The Hammers would have to suffer a mighty Hammer house of horrors in their last game not to secure that second place and a well earned place in the national tournament in July.

Stratford Shooters have won the seasons shootout by beating the Pu-Tang Clan 5-0. Congratulations to Stratford Shooters who hit their target a match early and have crowned themselves the division champs.

Shepton Galacticos maintained their 100% record with their 6th straight win in the Wells 6-a-side League, defeating Kay FC 7-1. Kay did well to thwart Shepton in the first half, but Ben Lacey inspired the league leaders to a comprehensive victory in the end.

The Real Deal remain 1 point adrift of Galacticos after Chad Millard again inspired them to a 3-0 defeat of Sparkford United that ensures their qualification for the forthcoming Champions League, where they will be joined by Shepton and Kay FC.

Coxley Pounders celebrated their first league point after a 1-1 draw against Why Always Us, for whom Charles Refson was in fine form.

Ollie Smart´s energetic display guided Green Army to a 4-1 defeat of Somerset Lions, a win which makes them favourites to snatch the final Champions league spot next week, perhaps at the expense of Lions themselves.

CLIFTON LEISURE LEAGUES: 6 a side Football Round Up

Cliftonites were unfortunate not to record their first victory of the season in the Clifton 6 a side league this week as they went down 3-2 to Brookes Villa. As the match got underway it was Cliftonites, with Dan Wyvill again impressing throughout, who looked like taking the lead on a number of occasions but against the run of play it was Brookes Villa who took the lead. Brooks goalmouth then led a charmed life as the Cliftonites had wave after wave of attack but a combination of wasteful finishing and some fine goalkeeping saw Brookes hold on for the victory that see’s them remain in third spot in the league.

Bryn Parkes meanwhile set Clifton Dynamo on their way to a forth straight victory with a 4-0 win against The Youngsters as he produced another fine individual performance for the league leaders. After Dynamo took a two goal lead into the second half The Youngsters did have chances to score but they rarely looked like taking them and a clinical Dynamo responded with two more second half strikes to seal a convincing victory. The win keeps Dynamo’s impressive start to the season going as they hold a two point lead over second place.

The final game of the evening saw SNC Active play hosts to Sporting Lesbo in what turned out to be a close contest. With the scores level and the match seemingly headed for a draw, SNC’s Rich McDermott produced a moment of magic in the final minutes as he raced clear of the Sporting defence, and when one-on-one with the goalkeeper produced a deft finish with a delicate chip to give his side a 3-2 lead. A shell shocked Sporting had little time to respond as SNC stood firm to claim both points to remain in second place in the league.

WA7 INCREASE LEAD AT THE TOP

A 2-0 defeat for Carlisle FC at the hands of No Name FC meant that WA& increased their lead at the top of the Widnes Sevens league to three points.

MOM for No Name FC was Dean Rhodes who had a great all round game on the night.

In the other match, All Blacks FC had an impressive 6-3 win against Bryan Munich with goalkeeper Adam Rees in great form and keeping Bryan to just three goals.

ALDERCAR LEISURE LEAGUES: 5 a side Football Round Up

The Firm’s unbeaten start came to an end this week as new side JMT registered an impressive opening game victory in the Aldercar 5 a side league this week. In the hail and rain the match game was played at a high speed throughout and with The Firm determined to keep their run going, forced the JMT goalkeeper into a number of fine saves. However it was JMT who took home both the points after their excellent display resulted in a 6-3 win, as they will now surely look to make up ground on the teams around them in the coming weeks.

As it now stands, Kimberley FC have taken top spot after they were once again in clinical mood in front of goal. This time it was the turn of FC Eastwood to face their sharp shooting neighbours, and did trouble Kimberley a number of times in the early stages, with Josh Wyer constantly posing a threat for Eastwood. However they were unable to stop Kimberley’s ruthless finishing as they won the game 10-4 to move top of the table on goal difference.

Meanwhile Jordan Frederickson preserved Heanor Lions unbeaten start as they went head to head with fellow title hopefuls Langley Milan. Frederickson was back to his best in the Heanor goal as he denied the Langley forwards on a number of occasions with some fine stops.
Despite it being the first point Heanor had dropped this season, the 2-2 draw keeps them level top and trailing leaders Kimberley on goal difference.

David Bond was the creative spark behind STW Double D’s impressive 8-1 victory over Red Army as they made it three wins in succession. After a bright start Red Army were unable to keep pace with Bond as he masterminded a deserved victory to keep STW in fifth place. Elsewhere it was a must win game between The Youngsters and Old Guy and the Mack Lads with both teams desperate for the points to start climbing up the table. In a fairly even game it was Mack Lads who were celebrating the victory as goalkeeper Jamie Rhodes ensured they ran out worthy 4-3 winners.

It was another great week of football in the Coseley Tuesday 6 a side league. The first game saw a close encounter with Coneygree and Sunday League sharing the points in an exciting 2-2 draw. Badger Boys won 4-3 against Legends with Hertidge running the show for the winners. Lye Town won 5-0 at Lye with Edwards pulling the strings. Another excellent game saw Woodcross and All Stars draw 3-3with Jones helping his side to a share of the points.

Despite the cancellation of their fixture, Lusitanos were confirmed as the winners of the first Leisure Leagues Shepton Mallet 5-a-side League after their closest rivals Barking Waffles fell to a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Substandard Liege. The win confirmed Liege´s place in the Champions League and they will now fancy their chances of securing the Runners-up spot after a fine defensive display and some clinical finishing from 2-goal hero Simon Wilson.

The night´s other match saw a friendly between LOFT FC and BTFC, with BTFC avenging last week´s defeat by LOFT with a 4-2 victory, with Sam Llewellyn in fine form.

The results set up a battle to secure the final Champions League spot in next week´s final round of fixtures.

It was another great evening in the Swadlincote 6 a side league. The night started with table toppers leave Ma winning 6-0 with Riddell playing well. The next match saw 2nd placed Barmy Army win 5-2 with Stoddard having a good game. Then YWF lost to Massive 3-0 with Garbutt making the difference. Noggins then won against Scoregasm 3-1 with Nathan Bagnall having a great game. In a tightly contested match Wolfpack beat Unreal Madrid 1-0with James Grice being influential for Wolfpack. It was another fantastic evening at green bank 5 a side league. The night kicked off with Ace playing an in form Fc Reunited. It was a slow start for both teams cancelling each other out. Fc came through as 2-1 winners with Dan Wyatt getting the nod for the MOTM. Next up were Brocode and Spankers unfortunately Brocode did not show which gave Spankers the 5-0 win. A friendly was played with Andy cox pulling the strings at the back again for spankers. Labour club and Old boys was the 3rd fixture of the evening with both teams knowing each other really well. Ady limpany in goal for Old boys had a great night as Labour came through as 6-0 winners with Ricky Holden getting the nod. Heebie and Beady played some great end to end football with Heebie coming through as 6-3 victors and Alex Aitken getting the nod for the MOTM.
The first point’s game of the night saw Noggings playing Barca. Rob Scott got the vote for MOTM. Noggings returned the favour on the second points match Brad Beasley getting the vote. The final game of the night was between Polar Bears and Tekker’s . Polars Bears raced ahead though Tekkers fought back. It was a superb game with both teams playing well but Polar coming through as 6-5 victors thanks to Alex Townsend. A great evening of football and well done to all the teams that played.

SELSTON LEISURE LEAGUES: 5 a side Football Round Up

James Funnell was in top form this week for the Inbertweeners as he helped his team defeat bottom side DG United 9-2 in the Selston Sunday 5 a side league and move up a place into fifth position in the league. The win sees the tweeners’ overtake in-form side Notts FC who came unstuck in their game with second placed side Horse and Jockey this week. The 8-3 victory came courtesy of an excellent Ian Walker display for the Jockey as they bounced back from last weeks disappointing defeat to leaders Eastley Harriers. Eastley meanwhile continue to lead the way and after another Lee Benson inspired victory, this time at the hands of Norfolk In Chance FC, they remain three points clear after this 9-1 win.

Waingroves meanwhile are keeping up their chase on third spot as Dean Eason ensured another victory for his team this week. The 7-4 victory keeps Waingroves in forth, a point above Inbertweeners in fifth and trailing The White Lion in third by three points.

The final game of the evening saw new team Hot Stuff make their league debuts and despite going down 12-4 to Mot Mot Motley Crue, they can be pleased with their opening showing this week. Dean Bower received the man of the match for his display here.

Urine Trouble Take 2 Point Lead at The Top

Urine Trouble overcame their nearest rivals Farmborough Bounce with a convincing display to top the Radstock Monday 6-a-side League by 2 points. Matt Scott inspired the leaders to a comfortable 6-0 win in the clash of the Top 2, which also did their goal difference no harm at all.

The Young Ones maintained their 3rd place in the league with a 2-0 defeat of Leave-my-arcelona, although Jake Townsend impressed for the losers.

Norfolk N Chance kept the pressure on SOPs Reunited for a Champions League place after an impressive 3-1 defeat of Norad FC, with Toby Jackson in great form, while a Darren Scammell-inspired SOPs Reunited romped to a 7-1 win against Arsenholes.

Next week´s deadline for Champions League qualification means that SOPs Reunited and Norfolk N Chance will battle it out in a straight fight for 4th place next Tuesday. Norfolk will need to win the game by more than 1 goal, while a point will do for SOPs.

Something will have to give and Talk Mobile FC gave intention of things to come after they thrashed Mcleods Brows 11-0 with Liam Hayes capping off a great night with the MOM award for Talk Mobile.

Samba Feet will be cursing their 0-0 draw with Wildays Wonders as local rivals Wezzie Parl benefitted from a 5-0 'walkover' as they had a points match on Sunday night.

This is turning into a right old battle at the top of the Premier League as the season enters it's second stage.

In the 1st Division, things are a bit more clear cut as The Thistle express rumbles on.

Unfortunately, their opponents were unable to raise a team on Sunday so they benefitted from a 5-0 win.

Second placed Blacon meanwhile, carried on with their fantastic season as they whipped Dodging Relegation 3-0 to cement second place.

It was yet another superb evening of football with the league shaping up nicely and all teams in the league having the potential to win the league. The First match saw Leavemyarsealona take on 6 Guys 1 Cup and it was a very close game throughout but in the end Leavemyarsealona let a goal sneak past them casuing them to have to accept a 3-2 defeat from last season's runners up, Chris Jones getting Man of the Match. Roys Boys came out fighting this week against last seasons winners Motters F.C and Roys Boys were showing off there footballing skill as they hammer home a 7-3 win and Aarron O'Neil getting Man of the Match. Norfolk N Chance extend there lead at top of the league as they put the pressure on Birmingham United in a 4-1 win with a winning performance from Aarron Thompson. Bayernneverloosing just didnt have the footballing magic this week to beat The Reem Team as Chris Gerrard was strutting his stuff all over the pitch as he ontributes to The Reem Teams 6-1 win.

ECFC BACK ON WINNING TRAIL

ECFC got back to winning ways on Sunday after a hard fought game against a young College All Stars team.

ECFC finally ran out 2-1 winners thanks largely to MOM Gareth Pallett who put in a great all round performance.

Only Fools and Horses had a triffic 7-1 win over Real Tiddington and are still in the running for a trophy. If Del and the boys achieve this in their first season all will be a proper cushdie result.
There were no surprise packages to be found as TNT delivered a 5-0 win in the points match.
United PL kept the status quo going but had to dig down, deeper and down to beat the Hot shots 2-0.
Who's Keith beat Hardly Athletic 9-2 and with all the top three sides all having a win Keith found if nothing ever changes, everything stays the same.
Division One
As the battle for promotion hots up it was the Multiple Score Gasums who failed to rise to the occasion and Alcester Celtic who rolled them over for a 2-1 win. The victory moves Celtic into that all important promotion place.
KD 2010 beat 99 Problems 3-1 and now see a slight chance of a return to the Prem beckoning. KD's one big problem is that they may have left it a little too late for that.
SHFB United look like they may have a bit of the trophy jitters. They appear to have taken their eye of the ball as they have now lost their third game on the bounce. Kes 5 who can be a class act when they stay focused beat SHFB 4-2, so surely a lesson to be learned here then.
Inter Minan picked up all the points in their 5-0 win in the points match and will be looking forward to going inter their first full season in three weeks time.

Four-Way Battle for Last 2 Champions League Places

The penultimate round of matches in the Radstock Thursday 6-a-side League has resulted in an almighty 4-way battle for the final two Champions League places.

Kop Idols managed to resurrect their season with a shock 5-4 defeat of new Champions Smack My Pitch Up in a game that ebbed and flowed right until the end. It now means that Kop Idols are in with a real shout of grabbing a Top 4 spot next week.

Quims Park Rangers and Sons of Pitches battled to a 2-2 draw, with Ricky Tomlinson earning his 3rd Man of The Match award for QPR, although the result did neither team any favours, and both will feel that they will need a win next week to secure a CL spot.

Despite a great performance from Aaron Savidis and going ahead in the 1st half, Mallards were eventually undone by League Runners-Up B.A.F. to effectively end their hopes of CL qualification, but FC Athletic gave themselves every chance of a Top 4 finish after a 3-1 defeat of Barearselona, with skipper Ashley Reeve once again starring to earn his 4th Man of The Match award to lead the chase for Player of The Season.

In next week´s final chase for a Top 4 finish, QPR face the unenviable task of taking on Smack My Pitch Up in a game that they will probably need to win, while Sons of Pitches and FC Athletic face each other in a straight fight for a CL place. Watch out for 6th placed Kop Idols who could sneak into contention with a win against Mallards. They will also have the advantage of knowing exactly what they will need in the evening´s final fixture. Will it come down to goal difference?? Bring your calculators lads!

Some great results for teams this week and the league looking very close at top of the table as the gap closes for second place. The first match saw The 6 Pack take on the Sex Panthers and it was a game with non stop action thanks largely to Charlie Brittain and in the end it was The 6 Pack who got the 5-2 win. Hamstead Harriers were on fine form against the Sand Dancers this week as they hammer home a 4-1 win and Kieran Shannon getting man of the match. TCOB FC had a storming game with a 5-0 thrashing over Carling County. The closest game of the evening was by far Pattaya United against B.O.B FC with some fantastic skills being shown by Rob Bryan but in the end B.O.B FC managed to sneak the 1-0 win. The Old Pooches were strutting the stuff all ove the pitch as Unreal Madrid are left holding there heads in there hands as they are orced to accept a 7-2 defeat. The Final game of the evening saw Kynoch Corinthians hold off top of the league Maney Park Rangers for a well deserved 2-2 draw.

Another fantastic round of matches in Coseley with plenty of action through the night.
Matt Ralph was the difference between league leaders Inter FC and Plan Z with Inter smashing six past their opponents without reply.
Tipton Tekkers kept up the pressure on the front runners with a comfortable 4-0 victory over seventh placed Diligaf and in other matches Charlie Sheen FC & Northway Mafia both recorded big wins in their respective games.

ALDERCAR LEISURE LEAGUES: 5 a side Football Round Up

Curtis Clarke again showed his attacking prowess as he set up his side, Kimberley FC, for an impressive 7-2 victory over the previously unbeaten Langley Milan in the Aldercar 5 a side league this week. The win see’s Kimberley overtake Langley into third place in the league and trailing the leaders by a single point as we move into the next round of fixtures in what is already looking like it will be a closely contested campaign.

Craig Hatton was another hotshot who enjoyed a fine evening in front of goal for Heanor Lions in their game against early strugglers Red Army. An 8-1 victory was enough to see his side continue their 100% winning start to the season and remain level on points with The Firm who defeated The Youngsters and Old Guy with a comfortable 9-1 win as they also continue with a winning start.

Tom Lammin meanwhile helped STW Double D record their second straight victory after a convincing 6-1 win at Mack Lads, a win that keeps STW in fifth position in the league whilst Mack Lads drop a place to seventh.

Stratford Wednesday 5-a-side league April 2012

With only two games left until the end of the season and all to play for the Freestylers keep their trophy chances alive. The Freestylers took full advantage of a trimmed Pu-Tang Clan and licked them 5-0.

In a season of two halves Bayer Neverlusen did it again and lost to FC United Stratford 5-3. The result has both sides hoping for others to do them favors because it's not over until it's over.

Lets Be Frank took on Stratford Shooters who came out with all guns blazing and sank Frank 9-1. The Shooters have have hit their target of another trophy and still look odds on to achieve their aim of the no.1 slot.

The Mighty Hammers weren't only blowing bubbles when they said were gunner win a trophy this season and the hammer came down on Were Gunner Win It for a 5-0 win. Now laying in second place, it's not a bad place to be for the Hammers after their late start to the season. So it's only theirs to loose now.

The Real Deal Climb to 2nd as Kay FC Falter

Shepton Galacticos kept up their 100% start to the Wells 6-a-side League with a 6-0 defeat of Sparkford United, despite an heroic effort from Sparkford keeper Pawel Jedrzejewski, who made a string of fine saves.

The Real Deal climbed into 2nd spot after a 6-0 win against Why Always Us, with Josh Orton in impressive form.

A last-minute equaliser from Kay FC´s Garry Lansley earned a deserved point in a 2-2- draw with Green Army, for whom Sean Molyneaux excelled throughout.

Coxley Pounders remain bottom of the league following a 3-1 defeat by Somerset Lions, despite the best efforts of Coxley´s Sam Andrews.
